Top-ranked Barnesville made pretty easy work against Hawley while number 1 Kindred also cruised in their rivalry showdown with Casselton. Considering the disparity in the number of schools in the different classes of competition it's more impressive where the Trojans find themselves but each displayed championship mettle on Friday night.

On the other end of the work week Bison senior Jake Arason was named the League Performer of the Week for cross country.

In Tucson, NDSU's volleyball team took their shot at the Wildcats only to finish on the wrong-end of each set. The second night of the event brought Southern Utah to the court against them and it went to four before ending in favor of the Green & Gold.

Moorhead State football was also several states away this week but did not have a happy time on the trip with three interceptions by Jack Strand, losing by a touchdown.

The Dragons Tennis likewise was on the road for the ITA Fall Championships. Their two singles each advanced to the round of 32 before being eliminated while the doubles dropped both of their matches.
