One more game before Christmas break. Valley City's visit had a holiday tournament feel with parents for both teams in the building but few others there to see it. The game within the game came down to Adie Wagner & Brynn Nelson VS Brooke Eggermont. The Hi-Liner was the first to double figures, scoring 16 of their 33 in the first half. South's pair combined for 24 of their 30 total points.

The score remained close in the second half as Peyton Pederson took some pressure of Eggermont. South got their own big second half performance. After having to sit with two fouls in the first half Teigan Malo changed the tenor of the game, helping the Bruins get to a 62 - 50 lead. Valley City got it back down to a seven point game shortly thereafter but South hit their free throws to maintain the advantage and secure victory.

Adie Wagner tied for the game high with 24, including seven makes from the beyond the arc. Brynn Nelson finished with 21, 12 in the first half, while Teigen Malo's 18 second-half points included eight makes from the line. South's next game is scheduled for Wednesday, Dec 29 at 1 pm @ Sheyenne.

Brooke Eggermont had 24, Peyton Pederson had 16 - 10 in the second half - and Carly Govern added nine. Valley City is scheduled to be back on the court Tuesday, Dec 28 at 5:45 pm @ Shanley.
