As I was going through the schedule there were only two matches that I considered to be likely losses - New England and New Orleans.
I can't be sure of it but maybe it's just because they're from places that claim to be new.
Maybe the Vikings will shock the world and go 16 - 0 but I wouldn't bet on it.
Likewise, as nice as a 14 - 2 season would be, I think there will be some downs as the team gels with it's new starters. I think that those hiccups will bring them to a 11 - 5 finish. But then I had to think where another three losses could come from.
Of the three that I opted for, two make me sick just thinking about, Philly and Green Bay. The Lions loss is just meant to represent the annual head-scratcher that every team suffers. Maybe the Rams will get em, maybe the 9ers...again. It's a shot in the dark this far in advance, but however the week by week results go, I'm sticking with an 11 - 5.
And if I'm wrong, if they go 14 - 2, GREAT! I'll take being wrong all day if the season goes that well! ALL DAY!!
So there it is. A season prediction within an hour of the schedule getting released.
What say you??
SKOL!
