"For the Lord your God is He who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies, to give you the victory."

Today was as much of a cure-all as it could be for the problems that presented themselves last week. SDSU losing on the last play of the game against South Dakota is significant part of that but nothing tops the emergence of TaMerik Williams from the running back stable. With his 18 carries he established himself as the primary option, certainly until Dom Gonnella is back to playing shape and even then Williams will figure heavily into the rotation.

That came as Cam Miller acted as the care-taker & the defense suffocated another opponent until it was too late, and then turned it back on for the final 7.5 minutes of the game.

With the outcome they secured their tenth straight conference championship. A win next Saturday will mean it's theirs alone.

It was as good as they've been all season and if they're able to keep playing like that then the loss will be a net win

Those are the broad strokes of the victory, but there is something else to say

It's a stretch to say it's an all-out negative but the Quincy Patterson usage does not serve a purpose. There may come a time when he's pressed back into service in a tighter contest in which he has to pass, yet they did nothing to try and build him up to be a more functional short & intermediate thrower. Won't argue with anyone who thinks he's a lost cause as far as that part of the position goes, but it still would have been nice to see them try those sorts of plays today.

But other than that it was crickets on this front today

If you have more things you think should be included either positively or negatively don't hesitate to say so!
