Trey's on the Way West

The man from Marshall, MN has his destination!

Before getting into the thoughts about him going to San Francisco, here's a nice package of his highlights

Jimmy Garoppolo has only started 16 games one time in his career. It was the same season that he finally broke into double figures and he wasn't able to repeat even that feat in 2020 so the phenom coming from Fargo will get on the field this season. It's as close to a sure thing as there is in the League.

Based on an Adam Schefter tweet it may not have been Kyle Shanahan's prerogative to go with Lance but as a thoroughly-modern QB the coach, front office and fan base may very well be pleased that he was John Lynch's preferred addition.

The hope should be that Garoppolo can stay healthy through training camp and every game after that would buy Lance more time to see the speed of the game & learn the playbook, similar to what he was able to go behind Easton Stick at NDSU.

Five years from now we may be talking about a multi-time champion, that's how good the QB/coach pairing could be. At it's best, think Kansas City over the last few years!

I know, that's a lot to put on someone with only 17 college starts but if San Fran can do it right then he could reach that level of excellence.
