A mixed bag of fantasy discussion.
(in case the logo wasn't clear enough)
Justin Jefferson or Tyler Lockett?
Lockett has been a beast this season. Even without the 53 point, tour-de-force a few weeks ago he would be the 27th receiver in terms of total points. But against a decent defense, especially against the pass & with the shared throws to Metcalf I think Jefferson will have the better week.
*Make sure Thielen is out officially because if MN splits between those two then I think Lockett is the better option.
Out of my three receivers which two should I start - AJ Brown, Chase Claypool or Justin Jefferson?
The virus may determine this for you. AJ Brown has a tough matchup against Indy but some points are far better than hoping the game gets played on Tuesday and ending with a zero.
Which 2 RBs would you start this week in standard scoring - Josh Jacobs vs Atlanta, James Robinson vs Cleveland, Austin Ekeler vs Buffalo or Damien Harris vs Arizona.
You've waited this long, so I suggest waiting one more week for Ekeler. As for the other three, I think Jacobs & Robinson are more sure options than Harris, but he's been finding a groove so it's possible he'll do more damage than one of the others.
Robert Tonyan or Noah Fant, full PPR?
New Orleans gave up some gaudy days to tight-ends early in the season but in the past five games they've held all TEs in check. Tonyan won't have it much easier but Chicago has been far more consistently scored upon by players of that position so roll with the Cheese.
Full PPR, Giovani Bernard or Brian Hill this week?
With concussion still attached to Bernard the choice to start Hill against Las Vegas becomes even easier. Temper expectations since he's only had one double digit game but he won't get much better of an opportunity than this week.
From free agency to your starting lineup and you better do it in a hurry. With the news that Tua is will sit this week against the still-very-exploitable broken-down planes, move on Ryan Fitzpatrick right this second.
Stop reading and add him.
I'm serious!
You can send your thanks later.
10 games played resulting in 471 yards with no touchdowns.
What part of that is appealing?
Jarvis Landry has been good at times in PPR but if you're amongst the 86% to have him on your roster you would do well to find someone else for your bench.
Cincinnati was the second-to-last team to fall victim to the surging DC pass defense. With a far-easier opponent this week Tee Higgins may bounce nicely from his worst game of the season (not counting week 1 since he didn't play) regardless of the quarterback. Not saying he'll post a new high or anything but the teens are possible.
If you're chasing points after Antonio Gibson's day on Thursday then you need to at least consider Higgins.
With another Tuesday game in the offing it's possible he'll be available against Baltimore, but you're taking a major risk if you don't bench James Connor. If you want to buy yourself some more time than make sure you have someone from Seattle/Philly that you could plug in. But I'd say just replace him in your lineup right now and move on.
In the game of "save salary" it's hard to pass on Derek Carr at only $6,100 this week against Atlanta. But in the event that you're playing a superflex format, Mike Glennon's $5,100 against Cleveland also could lead to some winnings.
But that's all for now.
Until next week, happy Fantasy hunting!
