A mixed bag of fantasy discussion.
In case the logo wasn't clear enough
Odell Beckham for AJ brown. Who wins the trade?
Brown may have the higher upside long term, but Beckham was targeted 10 times. Sure, he did diddly with all those chances but I put stock in opportunity. If you're in a non-redraft league then Brown's owner would be the winner but for this year I think it'll end up being close to a push.
Benny Snell or DeAndre Swift as a full ppr flex play?
19 carries versus 3 in week 1. Swift showed that he'll make up some of the difference with catches, if you're in a PPR, but until he proves it go with Snell.
Who should I start this week, Tom Brady or Kyler Murray?
I think Brady will be fine over the course of the season but Murray's debut couldn't have been much more illuminating. Add to it that he's going from one of last year's best defense's to Washington and the pick becomes even easier to make.
Start AJ Green or Tyler Lockett in the flex?
Considering the history of NE defense and they frequently take away what the other team does best. That may be Russell running this week but hard to imagine that Lockett wouldn't be just a line or two down the list for them. On the other hand, AJ Green gets Cleveland after a nice start with his new quarterback.
Final Answer: It's by a narrow margin but I give Green the advantage.
Need to bench 1 of Adam Thielen, Stefon Diggs & Jarvis Landry
In the battle for Ohio, Jarvis Landry will be the odd-man-out of this group.
With 42% ownership, he might not be available for you and I can't say in good conscience that he'll get more than 25% of all targets every week but after one week there are few better options than Logan Thomas!
The obvious answers also happen to be the correct ones. With season-ending injuries, Marlon Mack & Blake Jarwin can be dropped in all but dynasty leagues.
Even most keepers can go ahead and move on from them at this point.
And with Jonathon Taylor in Indy, Mack may never return to play behind that beefy OL.
Of the myriad players considered as viable starting options off their opening performances, none rise able Willie Snead. With ownership in less than 28% of leagues, he's a bonus add but proved that he can be an instant start because of Baltimore's offensive prowess. Not saying that he'll be able to turn ever four-target game into double-digit production but he did it so, he can. That's a great asset for a flex spot.
With the way that they were carved up on Sunday finding an option against MN, unfortunately, makes too much sense. Marry that with the fact that even after a 27 point opening week, Nyheim Hines only has a $5,500 price tag and he's a no brainer choice.
But that's all for now.
Until next week, happy Fantasy hunting!
