A grab bag of fantasy football discussion
(in case the logo wasn't clear enough)
Who do I start at Flex in my PPR league, Will Fuller or Mike Williams?
Choosing between a one-game sample & no games tilts things in favor of the one who made the dance. Even if Fuller had played week 1 and looked good it's a stretch to think he would have had 12 targets & made as much of that big opportunity as Williams did in the opener. Dallas may put up more of a defensive fight then Washington did but that could also mean another boat-load of chances for Williams.
Bottom line, start Williams with confidence & if Fuller has a good week then all the better for you going forward!
Elijah Mitchell or Ezekiel Elliott for week 2?
Elijah Mitchell's week 1 could be due in part to the fact that he wasn't expected to get near the workload that he received. The element of surprise will not be on his side this week against a Philly defense that is coming off a strong showing against Atlanta. But until Elliott shows a pulse on the field he can't be counted on.
Bottom line, Mitchell may not hit triple digits again this week but he's a more logical choice than Zeke.
Who do I start this week as my Fantasy QB, Kyler Murray or Tom Brady?
Tom Brady will put up numbers but Murray's ability to run makes him the clear choice against a defense that just allowed Joe Mixon to run for 127 yards.
Who would you recommend playing in the flex spot - Mike Williams, Tyler Boyd, or Corey Davis?
Mike Williams, for the reasons mentioned under the first question.
Should I start CJ Uzomah over Randall Cobb?
Cobb was a non-factor in a game for Green Bay where that applies to just about everyone. But the pressure to avoid an 0-2 start should bring a return to normalcy out of Rodgers. That doesn't guarantee even a solid day out of Cobb but I would feel better keeping him in my lineup over Uzomah.
After dropping 24 on a respectable Tennessee defense, Christian Kirk could have a 30 point day against Minnesota & for the reasonable price of $5,500. Add him and he will not be the worst scorer for you this weekend!
After a period of time during which Antonio Brown was being considered a CTE victim by some, he may have not only saved his career but single-handedly proven all the predictions of another great season by Tampa correct with his performance against Dallas.
