It's time to mock draft!
Here is the last edition.
Now onto the new one
For the last mock before D-Day changed the approach again. Instead of picking names off the list, two positions for each of Minnesota's 10 selections were identified and pinned down.
Starting with the pick that everyone in the fanbase has been talking about for months, I think 14 will come down to guard or defensive end.
The one that doesn't get addressed will be at the top in the third round. For the sake of the exercise and because of historical precedent 78 will come down to DE or CB.
At 90 it will be between cornerback & quarterback. The DB's room will have to keep waiting until 119, at which time they'll bump against the defensive line.
At 125 it will be line versus line with Zimmer's side of the ball getting another addition. Then the OL will got up against the backers but come out ahead. After that safety will make it's debut and also edge the LBs.
Closing in on the final third of the draft will begin with the linebackers yet again going against the tackles and yet again not prevailing. 168 will provide some relief as they get picked head-to-head against the wide receiver pool.
Prior to the 200s, and to conclude the pre-set portion of Minnesota's draft it will be wide receivers against cornerback with the offense putting a bow on it.
Everybody wants to play expert at this time of year...and pretty every other part of the year as well, but don't underestimate the difficulty of just trying to identify how the positions will be addressed from top to bottom.
20 considerations for 10 picks, what do you think?
