Rollercoaster

The two-dash co-op from just down highway 10 versus the plucky Christian school coming back without their best player, possibly ever. But games are played for a reason and this one was very much a rollercoaster.

The Falcons fell behind by five early, but went on an 8-2 run to gain a one point lead midway through the first half. The lead ping-ponged between the two teams until they were tied at 15. Then, like a surprise element appearing from the darkness right before the drop, the Titans went on a 22-4 run over the final 8.5 minutes. Ulen's defense played a roll but PCS couldn't get the lid off the hoop.

The 18-point deficit was shrunk slightly over the first eight minutes back on the court but NCE remained in control. Then, just as suddenly as the bottom dropped out in the first half, Park got the momentum on their side. A classic three point play by Eden Tofibam cut it down to 53-44 with four minutes left in the game. During their comeback, when they needed a bucket she answered more often than not. But two quick fouls on defense sent her to the bench for the remainder and with her went the best chance to complete the improbable but very exciting ride.

NCE/U/H 57, PCS 48

The Titans were lead by Morgan Crompton with a game-high 26 points. Adison Klemetson checked in for second with 10 while Sophia Lien had 8.

Tofibam finished with 19 while Abby Bryant was second with 7.

The Falcons finished with seven different scorers while there were six for the visitors.
