More Dates

Last week NDSU had their conference schedule released for both squads.

The frosting on the glass of time has been reduced further as several more scheduled contests were announced. šŸ¤ž, the run back to Sioux Falls will begin two-weeks from yesterday in Lincoln, Nebraska. True to the form that was shown last year, Jory Collins isn't shy about going against high-major programs whenever possible.

As was previously announced, the men will start their run two days later in Milwaukee.

One week later the women will be back at home, against Northern Iowa. They're set to make it three games in a row at the SHAC with back-to-back games against Green Bay during the first weekend of December.

Also on the fifth, the men will make their appearance at Phog Allen against the perennial contenders from middle-America. Into the next weekend the men will be in Sioux Falls for the "Dakota Showcase." It creates the quirk of potentially playing conference foes four times in one season but as has been stated many times across all the platforms, teams just have to get games in!

As that concludes on December 12, the women will be in Ames for another test. From there they will travel home for their non-conference game against a conference-mate as North Dakota will travel down for a Wednesday evening tip. They are then set to finish the pre-conference portion with one more Power-5 opponent, the Jayhawks of Kansas of Monday the 21st.

After what is as of now a 10-day run of practices, the men will also conclude their pre-conference action in Fort Worth against the Horned Frogs on the 22nd. If indeed it falls that way it would create a second, lengthy stretch of days between games with conference #1 set to tip on Jan. 2. With everyone seeking opportunities to play, those long gaps seem primed to be broken-up, but that's all the closer I can get to conjecture.

There are plenty more details still to be ironed out, but these ones give some hope that "normal" is getting closer!
