The Park Christian Falcon boys will take the court tonight looking to begin the process of building on a tough season which still ended up including a home win in a play-in game. They will dive right into conference play and end the regular season with a back-load of away games which will test how much they improve & coalesce between now and then.
But enough prefacing, here's what coach Roisum had to say about the team
Is there a highlight that stands out from last season?
I believe we learned a lot from our struggles last season. Both what it takes individually and as a team to compete at a high level.
Did you take your team to any camps this past Summer?
How did your team benefit from that?
We did attend a couple of team camps where we saw some good things. We seem to be understanding better what our strengths are and some of the new guys were able to get familiar with the team.
Who are some of the players that you anticipate counting on?
Caden Larson is very athletic and a great defender. Caden also penetrates very well, so we will be relying on his play on both ends. Caleb Kern is a good all around player and shoots it well, we will need him knocking down shots to be successful. Austin Carlson does a great job on the boards along with some others, we will need him to continue to rebound but also be an offensive threat. Kyler Card is a skilled player, a fierce competitor and we will be relying on him to get us going and keep us going. Is there a certain aspect of the game that you think will be the strength of your team?
We will be pretty athletic so we are hoping to play at a high pace with lots of pressure. To boil it all down, what would make the upcoming season a successful one?
If each player plays to his potential and we are able to figure out how to play as a team we should have a fun season.
Is there anything else you would like people to know about your program or players?
We are looking forward to competing with whoever our opponent is where teams have to play well to beat us and they have to scrape and fight for everything.
