All or Nothing

Pass or Fail

Right or Wrong

Good or Bad

👍

First up, the positives

Kirk Cousins

Never been hesitant to hold KC to a championship standard, that's why he was brought here. Despite a lot of pressure yet again & being backed up by penalties an absurd number of times he held up his end of the deal. If he executes for the rest of the season like he did today then this disgusting performance by the team will be forgotten.

Receivers

With KJ Osborn coming out of nowhere for a 7-catch, 76 yard day to compliment Adam Thielen & Justin Jefferson the previously woebegone rookie returner showed that the Purple may have a three-headed monster to go along with Dalvin Cook. We'll need some more games like this one to confirm but considering how it was not that long ago that they couldn't get one dynamic receiver, having three would make Sunday's that much more enjoyable!

The D-Line

No one knew what to expect from the big-opt-out but two sacks are more than anyone on this end would have guessed! Beyond that tangible, it seemed like Cincinnati avoided runs up the middle which would seem to be a credit to Pierce & Dalvin Tomlinson. Throw in that Danielle Hunter got back to the business of making life tough for the opposing quarterback & things are looking up for the front!

Greg Joseph

No fans of the Purple need to be reminded of the history with kickers but the new guy made as good of a first impression as he could have. Ideally he won't have to kick any more career-long game-winners this season but he did it once so he could do it again.

It's possible that Cincinnati will be a player in the AFC this year. That's the best way to turn the stinker into some lemonade, but now comes the bitter part.

Penalties/the OL

Averaging nearly 10 yards/penalty with 12 of them being accepted was the equalizer today. It took all that and a botched fumble review to lose the game. But the line overwhelmingly could not avoid shooting the team in the foot. With the next three games against playoff contenders that crap won't fly if they want to avoid an 0-4 start. When they got through a play without some infraction Garrett Bradbury was probably getting driven right into Cousins. That they only gave up three sacks is hard to believe but that's the official number.

Maybe it's because of how debilitatingly obvious that end of the spectrum was, but that's the only negative take away from this one.

Do feel free to comment others though!

Until next Sunday, ✌️
