A slow start, 20 total points halfway through the first quickly gave way to offense by each team. After an Arden Faulkner three tied the game at 14, the Bruins scored 8 unanswered. Over the remaining four and a half minutes the two old rivals scored at a similar pace but that still meant the advantage was on the side of the visitors, 32-21.
Five quick points extended the South lead and they held North from getting closer than 12 for the 17 minutes that remained. The Bruins largest lead came in the final minutes, after Adie Wagner tapped into her Softball skills for a couple full-court, in-bound passes that finished as layups. Even then North was able to get the deficit under 20 before time ran out.
South 66, North 50
Wagner finished with a game-high 20 while Sami Hoselton added 17 & Paige Schroeder had 15.
North was lead by Faulkner's 17 with Grace Miller coming in second with eight.
Eight of North's players scored compared to six for South.
