Sheyenne & South took the court with one loss each through the early portion of the season. Sheyenne used the twin towers of Jacksen Moni & Jah'Heem Leake to build an early 14-3 lead. South ate away at the difference but when they needed it, Sheyenne worked their size advantage, stretching the lead to 46-25 at the break.
The Bruins were able to close the gap to 16 early in the second half. Then Moni exited with what appeared to be an ankle injury. Even though there was a lot of time left it was the Mustangs that scored the next few basket, pushing their lead back above 20 points. That remained the different until Sheyenne went on one last blitz in which they finished the game outscoring South 21-8 over the final five minutes of the game.

South was lead by Kameron Arechigo's 17 (5 3s) while Khamani Steckler finished with 10 points.
Jacksen Moni had a game-high 24 (18 in the first half) while Leake finished with 16. Barika Kpeenu was also in double figures with 10 points while five others finished with at least six points.
