Recognition for performance is nothing new for Fargo but Ashleigh Heely getting the nod as League Defensive Performer of the Week is a first!
Both ⛳️ teams were in action to start the week, with the men finishing high on the leaderboard at Klieman U while the ladies struggled in Utah.
On the verge of the weekend 🏐 split in Tennessee while ⚽️ finished in a scoreless draw with Idaho. Saturday wasn't much better as it served up a pair of losses on the court & field. It continued on the transitional day as Montana netted three shots to win their match.
As the pros went, Trey Lance suffering a broken ankle overshadowed the whole group.

The Dragon's week began with freshman Macie Wieman being named Defensive Player of the Week by the Northern Sun, ending a nearly four-year-long streak!
When the week's competition commenced the ⛳️ team struggled to an 8th-place finish in Bemidji. As the week concluded they got out of the hazard, finishing third in Elbow Lake.
In between ⚽️ was edged by Augustana 4 - 3 & played to a draw with Wayne State Sunday.

The local Maroon men doubled-down on the undesirable outcome of a week ago with another three-score second half to lose, this time against Macalester. In Bemidji the guys rallied from a sixth-place first day to get into second on the leaderboard but then their swings began to betray them as they fell back to finish fifth.
The ladies of the pitch faced Mac Wednesday but a shutdown defense kept them from drawing even before time expired. It wasn't any better on the court Thursday as Valley City blanked their guests. 🏐 was back at it Saturday against 24th-ranked Augsburg and they showed why with an even more lopsided sheet.
Men's ⚽️ was able to get their first win in conference play, edging St. Scholastica by a goal but then got a harsh dose in Eau Claire, losing 3 - 0.

The preseason rolled on as the Bolts returned to their ice. They hung a touchdown on Wenatchee Wednesday for their third win and then finished four clear of Sioux Falls Saturday before the exhibition finale Sunday, which was used as the final tune-up for the teams' seasons.

In potentially their final home game the Birds were put against the wall to start the week with a 5 - 2 win by Kansas City. Rather than wilt under the pressure they rallied to soar into the Association championship, winning 8 - 5 & 4 - 1. Waiting in Milwaukee was the addition of more pressure as the Milkers took the series opener 7 - 1 despite eight hits by Fargo. In game two it was a reversal of fortune as the Birds managed to capitalize on their chances while the Milkers were held in check.
Tied at a win apiece the remainder of the season will unfold at Newman, beginning Tuesday evening!
