The Purple suffered their first defeat of the season with an effort that provided no clarity about them. They looked good and then they looked terrible and then they looked great and then they were beaten. So basically they just ran out of time or squandered too much of it to remain undefeated.
It goes back to the point made into the bye, they had bonus wins in hand so when they drop some over the remainder of the season it won't be as detrimental to their grand vision. With the shortest week having them in LA for Thursday night we won't have to wait long to find out how this squad handles finishing behind.

The Cobbers women's soccer team added a win and a loss to their .500 record. With a gap between them and sixth place with three matches to go they are in little danger of slipping further but losing three of the last four is a troubling trend.

The same can't be said of the Bison kickers as they have only lost once in the past month and could secure the conference title with a win Sunday the 27th at home against St. Thomas. They are already assured to have a bye in the conference tournament but could host the semi-finals and championship in early November.

Minnesota's ladies battled to the fifth and final possible game of the basketball season but their ascension to the status of Boston or LA for that League and claim the most championships will have to wait at least one more season.
