Champions come first
This week that means that Sheyenne and Horace are the lead-off for getting it done in the Dome Friday!

A day later the primary occupants secured at least a share of the League crown as Cam Miller & Barika Kpeenu combined for more than 350 total yards and six touchdowns.
They are on the same level as the finest of the championship teams of the past.
If they needed to score to win they could, but the defense is on an equal footing. This week that got them to the finish line with six sacks while Kelton McCaslin secured a fumble recovery go with one of the takedowns.
The expectation remains Frisco or failure, as unfair as that is, but should they reach the stage yet again they will be among the best teams that have donned the uniform.
With one game to go before the bye-week (which is secure) it will be instructive about how Polasek views the situation and the team he's rolling into the playoff.

The Fertile/Beltrami football team will also get the chance to raise a trophy as they advanced to Saturday's 9-man championship against Beaver Creek
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
There were also a pair of season finales as Concordia and Moorhead State's football seasons each wrapped Saturday with wins that secured their seventh and sixth wins, respectively.

Not to make a monument out of a single game but the Cobber women's basketball team also put on a clinic, scoring 150 points against Providence-Manitoba!
Scoring four points per minute doesn't sound that crazy but they got help by way of 43 turnovers with "only" 26 steals.
Needless to say, it rewrote the school's record book!

And most recently, the Purple got another championship-level performance from the defense as they waylaid Tennessee, allowing 13 points and 294 yards while getting to Will Levis five times. If not for their third quarter miracle 98-yard touchdown the stats would have even more accurately reflected how one-sided it was in favor of Flores!
The team did get some advantageous calls by the officials which also kept Tennessee from making it to the oh-so-familiar one-score territory.
Big picture, they're still in the running for the one seed with Detroit, Philly & Washington, even as the Commies stumbled Thursday. Corrections and improvement need to be made as the soft portion of the schedule fades out but from Jacksonville to Nashville they came a long way and maybe they can keep that going between now and Chicago!
