The last games of Fall included the end of Barnesville's stellar run, 24 - 6 to Eden Valley/Watkins.

Not so for the Arena puck heads as they blanked Chicago in back-to-back games while racking up 14 total goals. Hampton Slukynsky is now the only goal-tender with a sub-2 goals against average in the League!

With the outcomes they are back atop the 16-team mound

Moorhead State's men have also been off to a tremendous start with six wins to zero losses. That earned them the ninth spot in the national ranking, which were released just before Thanksgiving, after being unranked previously.

Cobber men's hockey also added to it's strong start to the season, now just one win shy of being halfway to their season win total of 12 from a year ago.

And that buries the lead, what with NDSU putting on a clinic & a half in their opening round game against Drake.

Which was how the week ended.

It began with the women's basketball team going to Greeley, CO and earning a mild upset over Northern Colorado. Neither they or the guys are of the best start but between that win and the competitive loss to a good Grand Canyon squad Saturday evening, both have already shown signs of improvement.
