It was a week of conclusions, punctuated Saturday evening by the Force winning their second championship! As a by-product, this season's team became THE standard for every pre-college hockey team and player.
Certainly a hard act to follow

On the other end of the seasonal spectrum, the Redhawks experienced their first full week of the season, taking three of the five contests that were played, reaching 4-4 through the early going.

38 games further along than that, Minnesota exited the greased portion of the schedule and game unglued, losing six straight to the previously-known Evil Empire and Cleveland. Davies finished with the most points on each side, with the girls taking the top spot for the 10th-straight year while the boys went back-to-back.

Tennis, softball and baseball all each concluded their pre-determined schedules while the region 1 baseball tournament did most of it's damage over the weekend.

17 Bison bucked the trend of ends as 11 members of the NDSU women's track & field team and six from the men's team will be among the top 96 at the West prelims in Fayetteville, AR beginning the 22nd!

But before the clock struck midnight on the week the Wolves made history, advancing back to the Western Conference Final for the first time since 2004 after reaching the brink of elimination by losing games 3, 4 and 5. This is not your typical Minnesota outfit and now they get a favorable matchup against Dallas for the chance to make more history, beginning Wednesday!

A memorable week for the sports scene!
