Talkin' Trey

We're a week out from the latest life-changing day for the best to come out of NDSU.

Both Jabril Cox & Dillon Radunz could sneak into the first round. It's especially possible for Radunz. But even if they don't get called til Friday it would still mean that three of the 64 best players were together at the Dome. That's some CRAZINESS!

With a win this Saturday the football program would be set up for a bing, bang, boom of consecutive days. So they need to handle their business against E.W.! A top 10 and possibly top five selection by Trey Lance would would be an unrivaled way to start the weekend of the second round!

And as the title indicates, Lance is the main focus right now.

Going all the way back to his six-touchdown debut against Butler he showed a phenom quality that propelled him to where he is now. Through the evaluation since the game against Central Arkansas his pedestrian showing in that game has been used as a knock against him. I get why, after-all that it's the job of the talent evaluators to try and identify weaknesses in the players. But for every mention to that end I haven't seen or heard a single peep to the other end.

What 20 year old, with just one opportunity to make an impression about his professional future, wouldn't struggle? From Tom Brady, Peyton Manning & Joe Montana on down the list of the greats, that's asking a nearly impossible amount!

But even with those stakes on the game he only threw one interception while adding four more touchdowns. That's a good ratio for fantasy & reality!

He has to be able to handle that kind of pressure with one of 32 multi-billion dollar franchises set to make him their guy. But a little bit of nuance needs to be added to the critique for that one less-than-stellar day on the field!

There's a lot more coming in the next week so be sure to like, follow & subscribe to avoid missing out!
