Kobe King
With the first of their last two selections the Purple set their sight on an alumni of Linebacker U. With 46 games of experience, including two seasons of starts, he should be able to hit the ground running from rookie camp on through to cut-down day. He had most of his impact as a rush-backer but will need to display more skills than just that to fit into Brian Flores' wildcard defense.
The DC surely already has ideas about how to see what King is capable of doing on the field.

Gavin Bartholomew
The next pick may have a better chance of not just sticking on the 53 but eventually seeing time beyond just special teams. He was a four year contributor for Pitt with consistent but not excellent numbers. He did finish with a career-high 38 catches and tied his best touchdown total with four scores so his trajectory may not continue to be flatlined.
Barring a training camp and preseason which sets the internet to buzzing, he'll be a practice squad member in 2025. The dearth of TEs on the roster means that the one season of development could afford him a major role in 2026.
That would be an unequivocal success, if it comes to pass!
